Gardening for Wildlife

Whether you have a patio or multi-acre yard you can enhance it to benefit the wildlife, who share the world with us. You can improve the world for native birds, butterflies, and other wildlife. The plants you grow and how you maintain your garden determine which wildlife you help, if any. Naturalist, educator, and gardener Rebecca Lesko shares her experience and knowledge to bring more life into your garden and yard.

Ms. Lesko is founder of the Endless Mountains Nature Center and lead naturalist and educator. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Studies from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse University. She teaches programs regionally, nationally, and internationally for the National Wildlife Federation, the Pocono Environmental Education Center, the Tenafly Nature Center, and the Peace Valley Nature Center. In 2006, she received a Jefferson Award for community service in northeastern Pennsylvania.

Rebecca enjoys bird watching with her husband, studying plants, and soaking in the sunshine near the water. She’s dedicated her life to sharing her appreciation of nature and science with everyone.
